Allergymatters was founded in 2001 and has successfully established itself as the #1 resource for allergies. Our aim is to promote good health to allergy sufferers through our knowledge and up-to-date information, advice and recommended products.

Co-founded by Imed Besaies & Alison Free, the company really came about from their own personal experiences with allergies. Their endless search for solutions to help combat allergies led to a wealth of information and products, but there didn't seem to be one place to go to, where you could get advice, information and buy products all under the one roof.

Today, Alison and Imed still play a huge role in the company and continue to be very passionate about providing a centre of excellence for allergy solutions.
Often considered the Which? of allergies, Allergymatters pride's itself on the expert and unbiased advice that we are recognised for. Our team of buyers are continually searching for new and innovative products to help combat your allergies.

Over the years, Allergymatters have succeeded in continually expanding our product range and growing the business. This growth has led us to relocate to larger premises so that we are able to continue to cater for the growing range of products which come from all over the world. Our ongoing and extensive research of allergy products, has also led to the launch of our own brand products, such as the Allergymatters Anti-Allergen Spray and more recently we have launched the Allergymatters SteamBee range of steam cleaners.

Our loyal customers span from all regions of the UK and after the launch of our site in France in 2004, we have seen our customer base grow, with customers visiting our website from all over the world. We also setup partnership with reputable organisations such as BUPA and also regularly supply products to NHS organisations across the UK . In fact, we are proud to say that Allergymatters is recommended by allergy practioners all over the country.

We recognise that our success is very much dependent on our customers and their satisfaction, so we continually strive to keep our website looking fresh and new each season, with new products being added.

Founders

Imed Besaies - Co-founder Chairman and Managing Director

Imed's expertise lies in the application of advanced technologies to support business operation and strategic planning. Imed co-founded Axense - a London based software company, which specialises in Business Intelligence and Customer Relationship Management in 1999. He also co-founded Societe LTD to provide consultancy services in Decision Support Systems (DSS) and IT personnel recruitment in 1997. Imed has held senior sales and marketing positions with Boston based Pilot Software in early 1990s. Imed started his career in the UK, in 1987 as a consultant in decision support and marketing systems with leading companies such as Debenhams, United Biscuits, Unilever, Wellcome, British Telecom and National Power, National grid, EDF and Henkel to name a few. Imed holds an Honors degree in computer science from the City University of London.

Alison Free - Co-founder

Alison started her business career in 1986, as buyer's assistant at the London based buying offices of the high street retailer Top Shop and Debenhams just after leaving Kingson-Upon-Thames University fashion design school. She also held the position of a buyer at British Home Stores (BHS). In the early 1990s, Alison run her own fashion design business - Liaisons . In 1997, after taking a 3-year break to have kids, Alison co-founded Societe LTD with Imed, to provide Decision Support Systems (DSS) consultancy and specialist recruitment services for FMCG multinationals. Recently Alison helped put together many fashion stories for high street fashion magazines. As a co-founder, Alison pledges that Allergymatters product range will be free of gimmicks and fads. Allergymatters team of buyers will rely on sound scientific research, will conduct their own tests of all products and will list their drawbacks as well as their benefits, to enable customers to assess each items suitability for their needs.
